Our story is rather simple. Back in 2006, owner John Pata was working on what he calls "a bigger backyard movie," Better Off Undead. Upon completing post-production, a friend said, "You should probably come up with a production company for the movie." There was really only one name that came to mind, playing off the fact that Pata has suffered numerous head injuries throughout his life. Thus, Head Trauma Productions was born.

However, we didn't officially become Head Trauma Productions LLC until 2011. That's when we got all legit and stuff.

Since that time, our goal has been to create and produce genre-based films in the Midwest. So far we have three productions under our belt. Two features, Gags The Clown and Dead Weight, and one short film, Pity,

We're firm believers that if there's something you want to do, just do it. If you don't know how, figure out a way. We have no delusions of making a splash in the world known as Hollywood. We're not LA dudes, we're Wisconsin and Midwest purists. We're going to keep pursuing and creating films right here at home.

We have a very diverse background in just about all forms of visual media. Pata graduated with a degree in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2007, worked in the screen printing industry for over eight years, and has 10+ years of experience in photography and videography. While we focus on our own films, we also freelance in multiple fields. And we're accustomed to working with limited budgets. In other words, we are very much a D.I.Y. kind of production company.

Have some sort of project you want to talk to John about? Shoot him an email

We'll also eat all the veggie burritos. Consider yourself warned.
